INDOOR
Welcome to the indoor rowing Page, at Nottingham Rowing Club we have a fantastic facility within the Sims complex and it means we are able to have a wide range of indoor training sessions, this page will explain what happens within the indoor sessions and the different types of indoor training we do as a junior squad.

Winter training
Over the winter the junior training caters for more long distance Ergo sessions, this is because the racing timetable over winter is mainly aimed at races set over 3 to 6 kilometres. Therefore the training needs to be designed around long distance -based pieces such as 30min ergo’s. Included in the junior winter program The coaches alongside the strength and conditioning coach will put together a program designed to help with core and General posture, more information on this can be found on the strength and conditioning page or if you have any questions please feel free to get in contact with the coaches.
Summer training
As we move into the summer side of the program The juniors will experience a different type of training, this is because we move on from doing longer headpieces such as 5km and focus more on shorter sprints such as 1000m and 2000m. The training regime which will be set out by the coaches Will cater for the different type of training over the summer. Ergo sessions will be shorter and focused on more sprints work and the strength and conditioning side and the core stability Will also change very slightly to more of a power-based training program. Once again if you have any queries please feel free to get in contact.
